For sale here is a $10 Series 1862 Legal Tender banknote or United States Note. It is in good circulated condition. The colors are bright and there is even wear to the design. There are is no soil or stains, and the paper does not have much erosion or splittling along the edges. The paper used during the Civil War is very thin and prone to becoming brittle over time, so a note of this type is hard to get without such problems. The 1862 $10 is very rare regardless and this particular Lincoln portrait is not found on any other banknotes. I heard the Salmon Chase put Lincoln's portrait on the $10 and his own on the $1 so that fewer people would see the President's picture than his own. I doubt you could prove it but it wouldn't surprise me if it were true! This scarce note is offered here without reserve.
