This listing is for one very rare 2-Stamp set of a classic automobile from the Auto 100 Stamp Set.
The
series of stamps was released to commemorate the first 100 years in the
History of the Automobile (1886 to 1986). The stamps were collected by
subscription from The Stamp Collectors Society of America (mainly from
1984 to 1986) with packages of stamps and one large picture arriving in
the mail each week, and you had to remit payment each month to continue
the subscription. (Please check my other listings for all stamps and
large pictures included with this set, they are listed individually).
This STAMP SHEET is 2 Different Stamps that are
still connected and this 2-stamp set is in MINT condition, unused, Never
Hinged (NH) and it is 100% an authentic stamp with a true face value.
The stamps in this set were released in several Caribbean countries, and each stamp was "LIVE" and available in its Country of Issue FOR ONLY 90 DAYS back in the mid-1980s!
Please note that the stamp's face-value is in the currency used in the
country of issue in the mid-1980s. The issuing Nations were:
Grenada (face value is in: East Caribbean Dollars)
Nevis (East Caribbean Dollars)
Saint Lucia (East Caribbean Dollars)
Saint Vincent & The Grenadines (East Caribbean Dollars)
Bequia & Union Island (East Caribbean Dollars)
Tuvalu (only non-Caribbean nation is in the South Pacific and face value currency is the AUSTRALIAN DOLLAR)
The 2-Stamp piece measures 1 9/16 x 2 3/8 inches (4 x 6 cm).
