1882 (P) Good Indian Head Penny Cent
You are looking at a US Indian Head cent. Contrary to the name, the image shown on the front of the coin is not a Native American Indian, but a representation of Lady Liberty wearing a ceremonial Indian headdress.
They were first issued in 1859 and were replaced in 1909 by the Lincoln cent. For the first 6 years Indian Head cents were made out of a copper-nickel alloy, until 1864 when the mint began making them out of bronze.
Coin Grading
As coin grading is subjective, you will find that the coins we are selling are conservatively graded not with the intention of achieving 100% accuracy, but with the intention of giving the buyer a general idea of the condition of the coin.
The photographs provided for the coin you are viewing are the actual photos of the coin for sale. So please be sure to inspect the photographs for yourself before deciding to buy this coin.

How We Store Your Coins
When you purchase individual coins from Dave's Collectible Coins they are carefully packaged in individual 2" by 2" non-plasticized coin flips (the kind that will not harm the coin like vinyl flips will). The information regarding what type of coin it is, what method of manufacture, the grade, etc. is all included on a label on the flip.

When it is time to ship your coin, it will either be wrapped in a piece of bubble wrap or a piece of gummed cardboard. The cardboard has cohesive gum on one side and makes a neat package which must be pealed apart to expose the coin(s).

The packaged coin is then shipped in either a bubble mailer or a cardboard box.
If the order comes to $250 or more, signature confirmation is used to help ensure the package is not lost. If you place such an order and do not wish to sign for your package, send us an email so alternate arrangements can be made.
This system has been tested and we find it to be very safe for coins. However if your coins do suffer any mishap during shipment, please send us an email right away so we can straighten it out.
Satisfaction Guaranteed
As always with Dave's Collectible Coins your satisfaction is 100% guaranteed. This means that if you are unhappy with your item for any reason you may return it for a full refund of the purchase price of the item .
